Late last week the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) quietly released their “First Look” U.S. country report on the PIAAC survey. (As you might have guessed, this report, which was originally supposed to be released concurrently with the OECD’s initial reports on the survey, was delayed due to the federal government shutdown.)
Literacy, Numeracy, and Problem Solving in Technology-Rich Environments Among U.S. Adults: Results from the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies 2012: First Look can be accessed here. (You need to be at least a level 4 just to get through the lengthy, Wurster-esque title.)
