Jeff Carter (firstname.lastname@example.org) is the Executive Editor and Publisher of Literacy & Policy, as well as a contributor. Jeff served as the Director of Policy and Government Affairs for ProLiteracy from February of 2010 until July of 2011. He’s also the former Executive Director and President of D.C. LEARNs, Washington D.C.’s literacy coalition. He now serves as the Director of Adult Education Initiatives at Digital Promise.
Jeff has worked on policy-realted projects for groups such as the National Skills Coalition and the National Council of State Directors of Adult Education (NCSDAE). He served as NCSDAE’s government relations consultant on an ongoing basis in 2013 and continues to consult with them from time to time on an ad-hoc basis.
Jeff also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Coalition for Literacy (NCL) and the Committee for Education Funding. In September of 2014, he was elected NCL President for 2014-15.
